Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MozInvoice ("the Service", "we", "our", "us"), you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of MozInvoice, regardless of their country of residence. Users in specific jurisdictions may be subject to additional local legal obligations that are separate from and in addition to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
MozInvoice is a digital document generation platform that allows users to create, manage, and share professional invoices and estimates. The Service includes:
- Creation and management of invoices and estimates
- PDF generation and sharing
- Client and service item management
- Business profile customisation
- Cloud synchronisation across devices (Premium plan)
MozInvoice is a document generation tool only. We are not a licensed financial institution, accounting firm, tax advisory service, or payment facilitator. Documents created using MozInvoice are solely your responsibility and do not constitute legal, financial, or tax advice.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
Account registration is optional. You may use the core features of MozInvoice without an account. To access cloud sync and Premium features, you must sign in via our supported authentication provider.
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
You must provide accurate information when using the Service. You may not impersonate another person or create an account on behalf of someone else without their authorisation.
3.3 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the Account settings within the app. Deletion permanently removes all your cloud-stored data and cannot be undone.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use MozInvoice to:
- Create fraudulent, misleading, or false invoices or financial documents
- Engage in any unlawful activity, including tax evasion or money laundering
- Impersonate any business, person, or entity
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other users' data
- Scrape or extract data from the Service by automated means without our consent
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without authorisation
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
5. Subscription Plans & Billing
5.1 Plans
MozInvoice offers a Free plan with limited features and a Premium subscription with full access. Subscription options may include monthly and annual billing cycles. Current pricing and plan details are displayed at the time of purchase and may change with reasonable advance notice.
5.2 Purchase Channels
Premium subscriptions may be purchased through the following channels:
- Google Play Store — purchases are processed by Google Play and governed by Google Play's Terms of Service and billing policies.
- Apple App Store — purchases are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and billing policies.
- Web (card payment) — purchases are processed by our authorised payment processor and charged to your card on file.
- Web (mobile money) — available in select regions; processed manually per billing cycle.
5.3 Auto-Renewal & Cancellation
Auto-renewing subscriptions (in-app purchases via Google Play or Apple App Store, and card payments via the web) automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current subscription price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Your payment method will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. The renewal price is shown at the time of purchase and may be updated with advance notice.
Mobile money subscriptions (web only) do not auto-renew. Access remains active until the end of the paid period and must be renewed manually.
To cancel an auto-renewing subscription:
- Google Play: open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MozInvoice → Cancel.
- Apple App Store: open Settings → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → MozInvoice → Cancel Subscription.
- Web (card): contact us at info@mozinvoice.app to cancel before the next renewal date.
Cancellation stops future charges but does not terminate your access — Premium features remain available until the end of the current paid period.
5.4 Free Trials
Where a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before the trial expires. You will not be charged during the trial period.
5.5 Refund Policy
In-app purchases (Google Play & App Store): refunds are handled entirely by Google Play or Apple according to their respective refund policies. We have no ability to issue refunds for purchases made through these platforms.
Web purchases: all fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days at info@mozinvoice.app and we will review your case in good faith.
5.6 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. For auto-renewing subscriptions, we will provide advance notice of any price increase before it takes effect. Continued use of the subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price. You may cancel at any time if you do not agree with a price change.
5.7 Taxes
Subscription prices may be exclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your local jurisdiction in connection with your purchase. For in-app purchases, applicable taxes are handled by the respective platform.
6. User Content & Documents
6.1 Ownership
All invoices, estimates, client data, and business information you create or enter into MozInvoice ("User Content") remain your property. We claim no ownership over your content.
6.2 Licence to Us
You grant MozInvoice a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., cloud synchronisation). This licence terminates when you delete the content or your account.
6.3 Accuracy
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legal validity of all documents you create using MozInvoice. We do not verify the accuracy of document content, client information, tax figures, or any other data you enter. Using MozInvoice does not fulfil any statutory invoicing requirements that may apply to your business — consult a qualified professional for compliance advice.
7. Intellectual Property
All elements of the MozInvoice platform — including software, design, branding, logos, and documentation — are the exclusive property of MozInvoice and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.
The MozInvoice name and logo are trademarks of MozInvoice. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that documents generated using MozInvoice comply with the legal requirements of any jurisdiction.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MOZINVOICE AND ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN ANY EVENT, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD 50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Service Modifications & Availability
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes affecting paid features. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or if required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts applicable to MozInvoice.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
